Arrival & Ashgabat
Airport welcome, hotel transfer and an introductory tour of the White Marble City: National Museum, Ertogrul Gazi Mosque, Independence Park and the Arch of Neutrality.
Nisa, Ahal-Teke horses & Kow-Ata
Visit UNESCO-listed Ancient Nisa, meet the celebrated Ahal-Teke horses, see Gokdepe Mosque and swim in the warm mineral waters of Kow-Ata cave lake. Return to Ashgabat.
Ashgabat to Ancient Merv & Mary
Travel across the Karakum Desert or take an optional domestic flight. Explore Greater and Lesser Kyz Gala, Erk Gala, Gyaur Gala, the Askhabs complex, Hoja Yusup Hamadani and Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum. Overnight in Mary.
Mary culture & return to Ashgabat
Visit Mary Regional Museum, the local bazaar and the Russian Orthodox Church, then return to Ashgabat by road or optional domestic flight.
Ashgabat bazaars & Darvaza
Explore Altyn Asyr or Gulistan Bazaar, then drive into the Karakum Desert. Watch the Darvaza gas crater glow after sunset, enjoy a barbecue dinner and stay overnight in a yurt camp.
Darvaza to illuminated Ashgabat
After a picnic breakfast, return to Ashgabat and rest. In the evening see the illuminated Wedding Palace, Yyldyz Hotel, Giant Ferris Wheel and Constitution Monument.
